PlayLab Cohort
Heart to Heart PlayLab is a creative space for women of color, promoting joy and connection through embodied play called Developmental Transformations (DvT).
Angela Hu
I always tell people my passion is performing on stage, sounds cool, right? But honestly, what I love is that on stage, I get to stop being myself. I can slip into different characters, try on different lives. That's the thrill for me.
Difan Zhao
My name is Difan, I’m an improviser who loves stepping on stage as a
blank canvas, ready to take the plunge and see what happens—hopefully
something good. I also enjoy playing music, which gives me a different
way to express myself.
Mizami Samuels-Waithe
Mizami (Mizi) uses she/ her pronouns. She is originally from NYC and works as a drama therapist and family clinician in San Francisco. Mizi enjoys theatre, anime, spirituality, being silly, philosophical, and curious about a lot of things!
Reina Lan Zhao
My name is Reina. I enjoy playing with dogs and lovely humans, sharing homemade food, and walking in the mountains or by the water.

She truly believes in the power of play (even as a shy introvert—surprise!) and would like to share the joy of play with others.
Harman Kalcut
Harman Kalcut (she/her) is a graduate of the CIIS Master’s in Counseling Psychology Drama Therapy program. Harman holds an intersectional, systemic, anti-caste, and decolonial lens when approaching her work with individuals and communities.
